I have always liked old buildings especially the ones with the hand painted wall signs. I searched the web for some images of signs I liked. I used a projector connected to the computer to save time drawing and traced the design with a silver permanent marker onto the removable wall. I painted the design with acrylic paints and sealed the bare bricks of the wall with Delta Cream Coat Matte Varnish.

That's a really clever method to get the pattern, and the outcome looks terrific!
ReplyDeleteI must admit the idea came to me because I was lazy and did not feel like taking the time to draw it freehand. But I used that "time" painting the design! The whole project only took a few hours so it was one of my better ideas.
ReplyDeleteWow, looks fabulous. Great job!
ReplyDeleteOMG you should totally do an old barn, we have tons of them here in Ohio and they have signs like that on the side
