Finishing the Passage Way Brick on the Front of the Dollhouse

View opposite the courtyard gate
The floor is slate roof paper
cool shot from inside with the front in place
 (mortar is damp)
I need to add door knobs
Right after I took these the lights stopped working on the front of the dollhouse ?????? I really thought I was at the end of the tunnel with this house. $#** I am not sure what happened but I peeled the brick back off and nothing, the whole lead run is dead!!!!!! It was fun while it lasted, I'm going to see if the silicone adhesive got on something which was the only new thing I used to glue on the bricks????? I did notice a strange singed wire which I disconnected but the lights are still out. Any suggestions before I try to rewire; very frustrated.

  1. Sorry, I was supposed to take an electrifying class but missed it. The pictures are really pretty. Great work as usual. Do you have any suggestions about how I could wire my Chess-taurant? I want to but afraid I will mess everything up!

    1. Based on the last pictures, I saw would use a power strip and just plug in the lights. I would run the lights from the ceiling by punching holes and create a roof to cover the wires. This would be the easiest and least electrical way I would do it.

  2. Thanks. Sounds good. I will see if I can figure it out. I have all of the materials. Just a little nervous about using them.

  3. How totally frustrating for you. To be honest that's why I never use copper tape wiring. Hard to track a fault, a pig to remove and replace and can be pretty easily damaged, physically and chemically and, if you and it live long enough will deteriorate over time. You gather I don't like it. I use the round wire system in generius grooves across floors to exit where necessary and off to a power strip etc. Floors are laid using double sided sticky tape and not a lot of that so you can always remove one single light if it gives you a problem. Never had to deal with a single one yet!

  4. Jocelyn, the degree of realism in this passage is incredibly realistic - I could swear it's a real townhouse! Be proud :)

  5. Hello Jocelyn,

The pictures are gorgeous. I'm sorry but I have no advice to give you in regards to the lighting. I am a power strip/ plug kind of guy myself.
    Big hug,
    Giac

  6. Hi Jocelyn
I agree with Giac, your pictures look amazing. I know nothing about the copper tape system. I use the wires and plugs so I'm afraid I can't help you at all. But I know how frustrating it must be not to have your lights working. I think lighting just transforms a house into something quite beautiful. Sorry!
    All the best
