I got the bakery/coffee shop dollhouse back this week, so I wanted to show some pictures of furniture I finished but never posted. I finally decided on the finish for the bar and counter I made from scratch for the coffee shop. http://jocelynsdollhouse.blogspot.com/2012/03/scratch-built-dollhouse-bar-counter-and.html and stools http://jocelynsdollhouse.blogspot.com/2012/03/scratch-built-bar-stools.html. I painted it with brown hammered metal spray paint and I left the counter tops unfinished to match the interior trim. I added the mirrors with the etched design from Michaels to the back of the bar. I will add a battery operated light above the bar later. I also made a coffee table and a side table from wooden candle sticks and circles for the sitting area. I will accent the furniture with gold acrylic paint I used on the interior trim.
This is a scrapbook of the building and decorating of my dream dollhouse, the Mountfield Dollhouse by the Dolls House Emporium, and other added dollhouses.
