Skateboarder Caught in the Act: New Resin Dolls

I paid a visit to Hobby Lobby thanks to my friend Tanya's post in our mini online group, ty-nee stuff. They now carry a few resin dolls and they happened to be ones on my wish list and there is sale on miniature furniture and accessories. While there I always visit the Xmas ornament section (were I purchased the ballerinas), they had a 50% off sale. I happened to see this little skateboarder and knew actually where he should go. I used wire cutters to snap the springs and removed the extra wire and the eye hook from the top of his head. I was pleasantly surprised that he could stand by himself with one foot on the skateboard. I also picked up the little girl, baby and Grandma June, I have a future home in mind for them. I just need to purchase Grandpa now, who was not available in the store.

Carson thought it would be fun to tryout his new skateboard
then suddenly...

Carson was frozen in action

Officer Bill was not happy

  1. Hi Jocelyn! These figures are all Great and the skateboarder was a fabulous find! Your modifications are perfect and Carson fits right in to the street scene and is Caught in the Act, just as he is getting started too! hah!
The bench scene is wonderful! Waiting on the bench, with Grandma June, in the sun. Mom has just popped inside the store and so Grandma said that she would watch the girls until she comes back. Luckily she always has her knitting with her for just such occurrences.

    2. I see the young ones looking at an older lady while she tells them stories of how the neighborhood used to be. I love the skateboarding story and the fact that it took place outside of your coffee shop! :-)

  5. I was more than a little disappointed that they didn't have Janet and Samuel as well as the other AA figures in that collection. I called the corporate office because I am still waiting after two years for the mini black family.
The lady was very nice got back to me after she talked to the buyer. They buyer had no reason. Amy will call me back when the buyer calls her back. It couldn't hurt for everyone to call and inquire.

    1. I own those already but I would like some new younger and seated ones. I have decided that I need to make my own dolls but if they still don't create more AA dolls maybe I will fill in the gap and make that money, lol. I think the company sees this more as toys for kids instead of items for adult collectors period. They never offer any classes and it would be great if they hosted a mini club for their customers.

  6. Me encantan esta figuras. Son muy reales y además entrañables como personajes para las casa de muñecas. Besos
