Real Vinyl Tile Flooring in the Hat Shop

I like to feel the different realistic textures on the vinyl tiles. I have used vinyl tile  flooring from Home Depot in the Mountfield and Imagination Dollhouse's kitchen and bathrooms but the rooms were smaller so I never had to match and splice tiles until now. I like it because it is cheap .99 each and quick and you can add grout lines. They are heavy enough to lay flat if you don't want to permanently glue it down but if you do the adhesive is already on the back, just peel and stick. I usually only need to buy one to do a room. The lower shop floor is marble, which was pretty easy to match. On the second floor, I was going for a rustic and worn look. I accidentally bought two different tiles and that changed my plan for the single floor design. I began to experimented with options of mixing two different tiles together. I mixed the tile I had planned with another tile that had grout lines in the tile design.

  2. Hi Jocelyn! The tile is a really great looking flooring solution! I have seen it used before but I like the way yours has turned out. I like how the darker tile is bordering the lighter inset piece and gives the project a lot more visual interest. Very clever!
