It’s different, & the colors are very rich. I did my Victorian Dollhouse in light blue & cream, but after seeing your bold colors, it’s time to repaint my house!! I was waiting to permanently install my walls after I made a better connection to the power source. I LOVE New Orleans history and its style.Jocelynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03285816092372342872noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6194367498284888241.post-12297821846830803072015-06-09T08:47:35.379-07:002015-06-09T08:47:35.379-07:00ooooh, the soft and lovely colourscheme is absolut...ooooh, the soft and lovely colourscheme is absolutely beautiful!SharonLarkinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17656369681782524281noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6194367498284888241.post-38871752565095130822015-06-09T08:20:58.069-07:002015-06-09T08:20:58.069-07:00Hello! First I will answer your color scheme poll - I like #4 which is almost the color scheme of my first dollhouse I am almost finished building for my daughter. Second, your blog is fantastic! And the New Orleans house looks amazing though I have yet to find the post where you show it all completed. I am planning on building something similar next and debating whether to buy a kit and bash it or just go at it completely from scratch. I too am using a Loyd Vogt book for inspiration. My family has lived in the New Orleans are since the mid 1700s and though I have traveled quite a bit around the US the New Orleans style is still my favorite. I look forward to going through your blog with a fine toothed comb! I love the bold and beautiful, but ...Hello Jocelyn,
I love the bold and beautiful, but would you ever consider yellow background with violet/ purple trim. I think the combination could work and create something soft with a bold twist. It's a color combination I have always loved.
Big hug,
GiacGiachttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04823654482564548862noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6194367498284888241.post-17840516590535980882015-06-09T02:05:22.810-07:002015-06-09T02:05:22.810-07:00I'm a 'soft and lovely' vote but then ...I'm a 'soft and lovely' vote but then I am wimpy English - love the painted ladies - have seen them for real but it is so rare for our houses to have such colour they just seem like something to look at not live in. Think of you go for the blue and yellow it needs a better third accent colour than the one used?????
